Andrea holds the degree of Bachelor of Applied Science (Forensic Investigation) from the Canberra Institute of Technology, completed in December 2007.

As part of her degree Andrea conducted scientific research into differentiating gel pen inks using non-invasive techniques including filtered light examination and Raman spectroscopy.

Andrea was employed by FDS on a part time basis for eighteen months prior to commencing her traineeship full time in January 2008.  Andrea has completed her training in forensic document examination and is undertaking casework in that area, and is currently completing her training in the area of handwriting examination.

Andrea has assisted in training courses conducted by The FDS Group on behalf of banks, financial institutions and government departments both in Australia and overseas. She also co-presents on the scope of forensic document examination for investigator courses run by Charles Sturt University and CIT Solutions.

Andrea has a strong interest in electronic (biometric) signatures and has co-presented a number of workshops and lectures on the topic.
