Crime Scenes

From break and enter to murder, crime scenes can include a host of different forensic evidence including the following which can be examined by FDS: handwriting (on documents, walls, doors, vehicles, skin, etc); charred, torn or otherwise damaged documents; notebooks and pads where pages have been removed; and fingerprints on many items and surfaces.

Re-examination of crime scene

FDS was asked to consult in a murder investigation.  Our fingerprint examiners were briefed by investigators at the scene and conducted an examination for any potential latent fingerprints that were not detected at the time the police crime scene team attended.  FDS found that
